Lost pride, returned

He came, he saw, he went back with a few more fans. That's the aura of Mithun Chakraborty. Rains tried to dampen spirits but that was not to be.

Admirers thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of "Dada" and also feast their eyes on the latest from Mithun's stable, " Ami Subhash Bolchi". Mithun strode tall, much like a king. Taking centre stage, he elaborated why he took up the project.

"I have done nearly 350 films and this is my boldest film, ever," stressed the actor and added, "Let me clarify. This isn't a communal or an anti Bengali film. West Bengal belongs to Bengalis. We should live here like a king and not as servants." Interestingly, Mithun, who belonged to North Kolkata had insisted that the screening happen at a North Kolkata theatre only. Barkha Sengupta, who is part of the cast, however, could not make it to the premiere. She said, "I returned to Mumbai on August 11 for a photoshoot. My pregnancy is in its advanced stage and I cannot travel so much now."
