It’s proloy on the sets of Raj Chakrabarty’s next! After a runin with the locals recently, now four unit members have injured themselves during the shoot.
Raj, who is in Purulia to can Proloy, a Shree Venkatesh Films production, said, “I had planned a working birthday for myself on Thursday, but the fun got ruined a day before. It’s only a while back that the locals created a turmoil, which led to a few of my crew members ending up at the hospital. And on Wednesday, two of my actresses — Oshmita and Mimi — and two assistant directors fell down from running vehicles and got injured. Oshmita had to be admitted to a hospital. Mimi is under medical supervision after falling off a bike. Apuda (Saswata Chatterjee) too had a close shave. Though I’ve never had an accident-free shoot, it’s going out of hand now.”
Saswata, who is playing a cop, Animesh Dutta, is still in trauma after his bike skidded on an uneven road. That’s not all. He almost met with an accident the following day. “I was lying on a bike in the middle of the road and the scene was supposed to have a few cars stopping behind. Suddenly, the brake of an ambassaddor failed and it could just about manage to come to a screeching halt at hairline distance. Everyone was screaming, ‘Apuda, thik achho?’. But all credit goes to the driver otherwise anything could have happened,” said the actor.
